Job Description

For our Satellite Positioning Team in Nootdorp we are looking for a C/C++ Software Engineer.

The Satellite Positioning group is a global, virtual team within Fugro, delivering a premium 24/7 positioning service based on our proprietary network of GNSS reference stations on all continents. We are experts in this domain and have over 20 years of experience - leading the maritime positioning market.

We are developing and integrating our positioning libraries on a variety of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) receivers, used in smartphones, IoT devices, drones, survey, and space applications.

You will join our team located in the Fugro Innovation Centre in the Netherlands (Nootdorp), but you will cooperate with teams located in US, Australia, and Norway. This means occasionally you will have to adapt working hours to accommodate for different time zones.

Your role

• You develop and integration of positioning libraries on GNSS receivers of Fugro's partners, in cooperation with internal and external teams;

• You prepare and maintain the CI/CD environment;

• You develop support to the GNSS algorithm team;

• You develop and maintain the service, testing and monitoring software.

Your track record

• You have a completed Bsc or Msc in Computer Science;

• You can demonstrate writing production-level C/C++ code;

• You showcase excellent communication skills in English;

• Good understanding of Git;

• Working with Atlassian Jira is a plus;

• Basic knowledge of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) is a plus.
